I just read the Yahoo article.
The question remains is why did she hit the back end of an 18 wheeler?
Was she drunk? Was she on something else?
No clear headed person would purposely drive into the back of a truck, especially one that size.
I put the DUI/drugs probability at way over 50%...
Then again, maybe something did happen re: the truck; she slammed on her brakes and didn't know how to steer away. Whatever happened, I have zero doubt that we will find out.
Well, the 18 wheeler would have to have slammed on their brakes in order for her to hit the back end of the truck. Not to mention, she probably wasn't driving the speed limit or under either. The truck driver probably wasn't either, so if they did slam on their brakes, then I can understand why she would hit it.
I think she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. So, pure accident. If she was traveling too fast or was too close to an 18 wheeler, and had to stop quickly, then it's her fault, at least if no alcohol or drugs were involved. It would be good.
I agree with your opinion of humanity, but I am willing to bet all of 3-comments* that DUI/drugs are involved.
*Loser has to post 3 intelligent comments on the winner's hubs.
I will truly and sincerely be more than happy to lose.
I'd like to be right. But as you've already said, there's not a good chance of it happening.
Paradigmsearch suspects a political reference here...
Really? New to me. I'd bring up chess again, but I suspect you've had enough of that.
Yeah, I had enough of that. You're just too good for me.
Got a new chess place? Last one (not you) spammed me to death.
A perceived breach of logic that is no means necessarily valid.
Yes, again. But window is less than an hour...
Here's the latest: http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/06/ … D820120608
18 wheelers don't really 'stop quickly'. Certainly not more quickly than a car can.
Which means that she would had to have been awfully close to the back end of the truck, in order to get into an accident. Or she purposely drove the front of her car into the truck?
If the latter, then why? One would have to be insane to pull a stunt like that.
If the former, then obviously she was too close.
I am hoping it was just an accident and she was just too close to stop. If anything else is involved, such as drinking or drugs, then she certainly has her goose cooked.
I've driven all over the country, and LA was one of the scariest for me. If you guys have never driven there, let me clue you in. Cars travel at like 70 or 80 mph with (and I kid you not) with maybe six to 12 inches between the car in front of you and the car in back of you. Sneeze the wrong way and you're headed for a wreck.
I didn't find the driving that bad out there. I only went up on to the highway once, but I was on it for a good hour, and didn't see that kind of movement.
But, yes it is very dangerous because a lot of people are driving faster than I was accustom to living in Mass most of my life.
"...James tells TMZ after the accident, he called 911 as Lindsay and her male assistant got out of the Porsche and into the Escalade. James says the assistant picked up a pink bag, "filled it up with something" and then put clothes on top of it...."

@Cags Well, I went and did one comment already, just in case. It's lame as usual of course, but I try.
Okay, that article is a he said, she said. So far, there's nothing other than a bribe being offered to keep it quiet. Her trying to flee the scene? Who knows. I could understand not wanting the media attention considering she already gets too much negative media as it is.
This isn't over yet and you shouldn't be conceding anything yet. But, I appreciate the comment.
I just perpetrated my second comment. Unlike the first one, this one was a barn burner. I don't care whether I win or lose; either way it's fun. Besides, you're worth it.
My second comment isn't there!!!! I put a lot of work into it!!! I hope it's a pre-approval thing. I was proud of that one!!!
Pissed and signing off. Back in an hour.
Yes you comment is there. I had to approve it first. And, yes it was quite the barn burner too.
Oh, good. Paradigmsearch feels all better now. When it didn't show up in my hubtitvity, I was thinking that I had stupidly forgot to click the submit button.
The question is, why is this of any importance?
Is this some minor celebrity? I have never heard of this person.
There are many car crashes every day. Why should I be interested if some nonentity has been involved in one?
To be honest, I am not interested regardless of the victim. People drive carelessly, people get hurt or killed, so what?
I agree. What's this all about, really. I haven't heard anything about this woman in a long, long time. Wish her the best and all, same as I wish anyone the best. Well, heartfelt topic, I suppose...
It's not a matter of importance. But is a matter of people wanting to discuss something other than politics or religion.
Go Lindsay!
Cracked me up when she wore that F**k Y** decal to court. It is positively amazing what rich people get away with...
OK. Enough about what's her name. I wonder what Lurch is up to these days...
It's something to talk about. Conversation between people isn't always a bad thing. Any subject works really.
So... Wales never heard of LiLo... You are fortunate. Wait until you find out about Snooki.
Talk about timing...

I'm glad it turned out this way. Maybe there is hope for her after all.
As for the snooki pics, my pulse-rate didn't even quicken. Oh, well.

I've had CNN on for an hour this morning. In that time they've spent Her jail sentence is 90 days, but predictions are she will serve only 23 of those days. Then she still has 90 days of "program" (aka rehab). Do you think this sentence is appropriate for her?

These two did a movie together, "Mean Girls", and they both have been a handful since. Who do you think will mature and become a "Movie Star"?
