Sheila Song's New Boundless CD Is Captivating
One of the most talented singers of this decade is the exquisite Sheila Coley. Her latest CD is entitled Sheila Song's Boundless. The title boundless, is appropriate because Sheila has immense talent that is unending. Her voice perpetually captivates any audience. Sheila performed her hit Hard Times, which is filled with compelling lyrics such as "Ain't nothing gonna break me down, as long as I have you by my side." Another well-chosen tune is Shadows On The Wall. This compelling song showcases Sheila's voice beautifully. The high and low pitches draws lts listeners into an intriguing desire for the return of their loved one. Boundless, is a rapturous CD that you must try to obtain for your musical selection.
Within the cover of this CD Sheila thanked her biggest fan, "I would like to thank my dear husband for believing in me, we've been through so much together, from illness to death - you name it - but when we fall we always stand tall. Thank you for your help in the production of this project and for being my heart and soul, and biggest fan. I love you immeasurably." Rick and Sheila are momentous for "sticking together through thick and thin." Even when Sheila was offered an opportunity to sign with possibly a larger record label, she refused the offer because this is truly a couple that supports each other regardless. They are one of the most agile couples in the industry. Sheila also went on to thank her producer Richard Benning for, "pursuing and persisting in writing, producing and completing this masterpiece." As a songwriter Richard also known as Rick, is an enthusiast whose, "aim is to write lyrics that touch people's emotions-that resonate with their hopes, dreams, and deepest feelings. What is the most popular theme? You guessed it-love. Songwriters also try to create melodies with a hook, a catchy musical phrase that grabs the listener's attention and lingers in the mind." (Awake, 8/11, page 4) Rick Benning effectively accomplishes this in his songwriting. We look forward to future projects such as Rick Coley serving as Promoter for the most talented comedian in the business Siinbad, who will appear March 23rd, 2013, at the Scottish Rite Theater in Collingswood, New Jersey. Other Talented Guest Who Appeared At The CD Release Party
The party was hosted by the very funny and talented comedian Rachmaun. His flawless stand-up was appropriate for all ages. Rachmaun, introduced all the performances for the evening with a distinct and unique touch. After Sheila's performance, the savvy comedian C.P. Lacey, performed in his astute roles as James Brown, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder. The artistic brilliance of both comedians Rachmaun and Lacey, instilled laughter and fun which allowed the evening to be an infinite source of entertainment. The beautiful music performed by Sheila Song from her Boundless CD was a complement to these very talented comedians. Dancing was also included with music featured by DJ Ron. Nina Hardison along with Renee Sewell, two very talented instructors, presented line dance classes that allowed every audience member who had a desire to learn these dances and to participate. One line dance featured was called Collard Greens and Cornbread. Renee also demonstrated a dance called the Alzheimer's Bounce which her 93 year old mother helped her create and demonstrate. Other classical dances such as the Cha Cha Cha were featured by dancers from the old school. It was an evening of various sources of entertainment,
The No Notes Show, which is viewed by millions throughout the world "brings a wealth of knowledge and information that is useful for the community and abroad." Steven Rodriguez and Watson Philyaw hosted and interviewed the entertainment at Sheila's CD release party including angelladywriter. To view this program, go to Youtube under The No Notes Show or go to their website. I also spoke briefly to Steven Rodriguez concerning the abundance of negative media that dominates the world today. He was genuinely concerned about how easy it is for anyone to obtain a gun. "That needs to change. One thing that is happening is that people who don't have a record purchase guns and then they sell them to the bad guys. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. You put these weapons on the street and it gives people a false sense of security and courage." Mr. Rodriguez suggested that within this society, we should not possess guns unless we are hunting and that should be done only on the premises of a gun club because there is too much violence in the world today. The other host of The No Notes Show was Watson Philyaw. He had a very interesting perspective by stating, "My ultimate goal is that we can make an impact on the black community. To become involved in the educational system that will bring black men and women together. I think it is important in marriages, when couples have problems a woman should they talk to their mem and not to their girlfriends. Respect your man because there is more to a man than sex. A man want someone that is concerned about his marriage. Within the marriage it should be husband, wife and God." Both Steven and Watson are consummates of positive and impactful information that they enjoy sharing with their viewers.
Sheila Songs' Boundless CD release party, consisted not only of outstanding entertainment but also delectable food. Tony, is the owner, operator and chef of the exquisite Celebrations, located downtown Wilmington, Delaware. He explained that he has been cooking for more than 25 years. That became quite obvious when the menu for the party consisted of such delicious foods as, Blackened Salmon, Grilled Chicken Breast, Roasted Potatoes, Green Beans and Sweet Tea. Tony as well as his very competent staff, served a meal that was tasty and inspirational. He is not only owner, operator and top chef of Celebrations but Tony is also involved in community groups that focus on health awareness and food consumption. He is a focused professional with a beautiful location for the celebration of any event regardless of your race. It is a place for anybody to celebrate.
The evening culminated with words from the very talented Sheila Coley also known as Sheila Song. She expressed her appreciation of the wonderful sound system at Celebrations which is vital during a performance. Sheila described her ineffable appreciation for "the wonderful support. A lot of people from different places attended this event and I appreciate their participation. I love the new CD and I am getting calls where people express what their favorite songs are." Before the evening ended, Sheila was required by some of her audience to perform a Celene Dion song which Sheila had not planned perform. Sheila finally admitted, "Sometimes you have to go with what your audience wants to hear." This unselfish attitude continues to bring her audiences back for more. Good job Sheila and may your hard work continue to produce fine results. Sheila's CD Release Party was a complete success. We look forward to more outstanding work from her in the future.
