What’s That Next Lyric? A Love Songs Quiz

With Valentines Day almost here I thought it’d be fun to have a quiz all about lyrics of famous love songs. If you’d like to play, the object of the game is simple: to guess correctly the line of lyrics that follows the song snippets provided.

To play: get out a sheet of paper and pen or pencil. Number your paper 1-20 and scroll down to the Questions section. Here you will find the song titles and a snippet of lyrics from each individual song, plus four possible next line of lyrics from the song. Select the next line you feel is right, mark it on your paper and move to the next Question.

The Answers section will be found further down the page, where you will check to see how well you did. Each correctly answered Question is worth 10 points, for a potential final score of 200.

Good luck and have fun!

Hey Beth, really good hub with Valentine's Day approaching, and something a little different too. A great list of songs too. I did the quiz, and did worse than I expected. I got 10 correct out of 20. I guess it's a pass, but only just...lol. Voted up.

Alaster, don't feel bad. Your historical forte is for more serious subject matters..besides, if it weren't for the help of Metrolyrics I would have been wrong myself on a few of them :)

Hi Beth. I knew only 8 titles. I was correct on them all. The oldies I knew the more modern I had not heard of. A real treat! Well done.

Graham.

What an interesting hub! I scored 110 - not bad considering I don't remember the songs, was just following the rhymes and syllables. Love the hilarious wrong answers. A brilliant hub idea, do you mind if I borrow the idea of hub quizzes to write about on other subjects of my own? In return I can let you have first dibs on using the idea of my next hub - which is also a funny, original one (soon to be revealed, will let you know when it is ready). Voted funny and up!

Suzanne, I don't own a copyright to quizzes at HP's, so be my guest :) Thanks much for the VU and glad you enjoyed!

Thank you Beth, I must say yours are the best crafted hubs I have seen on Hubpages! I will be sure to keep quiz topics away from your subjects. I will also post here about the new hub idea when it is published, as I think you may be interested in unexplored categories of this type. You have inspired me - thanking you so much ;)
