Born on 7 April 1964 in Wellington, New Zealand and raised in Australia, Russell Ira Crowe is an actor and musician. Married in 2003 with Danielle Spencer, Australian actress and singer-writer, they have two kids named Charles Spencer Crowe and Tennyson Spencer Crowe.

Crowe began his career as musician. He then became an Australian actor. He became popular actor and well-known face of Hollywood after tremendous success of his historical epic movie, Gladiator in 2000. He won Oscar Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 2001 from this movie (Gladiator).

Ad 180 General Maximus is named ‘keeper of Rome’ by the dying Emperor Marcus Aurelius after successfully vanquishing the barbarian hordes. But emperor’s son Commodus has other ideas.
