That's nice you have a loving marriage. Not everyone experiences all of those listed, but I'm a believer thanks for the input.

I can't wait to find all this in another. I thought I'd be married by now, but I'm not worried. I will have my someone to share life's little moments with and when I do, I am going to post this list where he can see it often just to remind him how good he has it. :)

Thank you, there seems to be such cynicism about marriage these days. It may be hard work, but it's good work.

Indeed, I've been married for ten years and if I knew then what I know now, I may have gone running for the hills, but I wouldn't change a moment of the "good times or the bad".

Hi Leah Wingert!

Very interesting experiences you had during your marriage. Marriage has many benefits.

The biggest & only benefit of marriage is free sex on demand if she has no headache. Here are some funny quotes...to make your day.

~By all means marry; if you get a good wife, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher. ~funny Socrates

~Marriage is give and take. You'd better give it to her or she'll take it anyway. ~funny Joey Adams

~A man doesn't know what hapiness is until he's married. By then it's too late. ~Frank Sinatra

I'm just so pleased to see someone promoting the idea of marriage. Well done. I'm really fed up with all the others (full time losers, I call them)

Love is not love that alters when alteration finds.  Oh no! Love is an ever fixed mark.  Wm Shakespeare.

There's so much I seem to have forgotten on this list of reasons as well, one of which is the wedding! When else will ladies be able to wear a "Cinderella" ball gown and have EVERY one's attention entirely on her? **sigh** weddings are wonderful things, so worth the marriage that comes afterward!

Well, it IS a lovely Hub, and I'm glad you found happiness, but...

Would you mind if a write a Hub in the opposite direction? Having some frustration and some writer's block, and maybe it's just the topic to get it all to go away.

Very interesting. Surely this is something that everyone should read!

You can do ALL of that without being married. I do all that and I live with my partner, but we are not married. I was looking for a good reason to marry him, because we already live together and do all the things married couples do, so this didn't help me at all.

Sorry.

Wait. Wait! The wedding!! Come that has to help, tell him that you do all the married stuff any way, you adore each other, you have kids maybe but you haven't been able to have the wedding yet! Why not just get that piece of paper, plus there's a really cool party, you get gifts and you get to eat cake in the middle of the afternoon and no one will look at you funny.

This was simply beautiful!

And it makes me want even more, the closesness that people have with spouses..........with the simple things like watching a hubby dance with your daughter....

but I'm still young, and have plenty of time to find HIM.... :D thanks for this!
