5 Great Inexpensive Gifts For Toddler Boys

Ball Popper Gift for Toddler

1. The Ball Popper

The manufacturer recommends this toy for ages 9 months to 3 years. My son got this toy when he was about 12 months old. He loved it then and still loves it now. Even my stepson who is almost 5 loves playing with it. Though the recommended age says till 3, the children will have lots of fun playing with toy till much older ages.

It plays fast paced music that my son thinks is great. He stands up and just dances away while chasing the balls down. It has a wiggly tube that you put 5 balls in, then air blows through the tube and shoots the balls out into a tray where they roll down back into the tube. Of course many times the ball goes shooting right out of the tray, but the toddlers don't mind a bit, you know how much energy they have! They just chase it right down and put it back in.

I think the toy also helps them practice their motor skills. The hole to place the ball is just the perfect size for the ball only, it takes a bit of practice to get it in there every time. The only downfall to this toy is you have to watch them closely to ensure they don't place any other items down the tube. Though so far we've been able to get out the blocks, trash, socks, and various other items he's put down it and it still works great! Getting a spare pack of balls is not a bad idea either. The balls tend to get lost easily and it really needs all 5 to work properly. You can get these at the Hasboro website. Amazon buyers love this product as well and have given it a 4 star rating! Not bad for a gift under twenty bucks!

Tee Ball Set for Toddlers

2. Little Tikes Tee Ball Set

The manufacturer recommends ages 18 months to 4 years old. The Tee is adjustable in height to "grow" with your child. It's all hard plastic and very durable. Especially the bat. The bat is much thicker plastic than your average bright orange plastic bat. The set will hold up and look good for years. It comes with 2 oversized balls as well. It has over a 4 star rating from Amazon purchasers.

After reading some reviews, other parents love this toy for their toddlers as well. It's great for playing together and helping them practice hitting the ball. It's also good for exercise as they literally sprint to chase down the ball when they hit good!

My son has had his set for over a year already. I must admit he uses the bat and ball by itself as much as he uses the tee. He has had a blast practicing hitting the ball with this toy. It's been great practice for when he starts tee ball. Practice setting the ball on the tee is good for his motor skills as well. It's a great inexpensive gift and keep in mind, no annoying music to go with it! The only downfall to this toy is the bat can be used to hit other things, like people! So watch the children closely while playing with this to avoid any fighting and inappropriate use of the bat ha ha!

Fishing Pole Bath Time Set

3. Fun Time Fishing Pole Bath Toy

You can't hardly go wrong with bath toys. All kids love playing with toys in the bath tub. This fishing pole s magnetized and will "catch" the little metal fish that come with it. It really helps toddlers learn new skills like reeling and aiming. It will keep them occupied for hours to come!

What's great is this toy can be used out of the bath as well. It may be geared a little more toward the younger ages and the manufacturer recommends ages 6 months to 3 years. This toy has over a 4 star rating from Amazon purchasers who say their kids love it! All for still under 20 dollars, not bad as far as gifts for toddlers go. The toys seem to get more expensive everyday!

Floating Blocks Bath Toy

4. Eudushape Floating Blocks for Toddlers

This is another bath toy and a great gift for a toddler! The set comes with all sorts of shapes and sizes of floating blocks. The kids can have fun throwing them in the bath tub then sticking them together or all over the bath tub. That's right, they even stick to the sides and shower doors in the bath.

The set also comes with a lot of blocks, 15 included, so there are plenty for more than one child to play with. Manufacturer recommends ages 18 months and up. It also gets the national parenting center seal of approval, so you know it's a great safe toy for your toddler. It's Amazon purchasers have given it over 4 out of 5 star rating! And yup, you got it, still under 20 bucks!

Plan Toy Dancing Alligator

5. Dancing Alligator Pull Toy

This alligator merrily dances along the floor as the child pulls it. My child had something very similar to this and he loved it, while it lasted. The kind we had was not very durable. However, this one is extremely durable and well made. Children love pulling this toy along behind them everywhere they go!

The best part about it, no batteries! This toy doesn't have any loud obnoxious noises and still the children love it. This toy is made by Plan Toys. They utilize wood from rubber trees, so no latex. They are big into reducing, reusing, and recycling, the 3 r's of a green company!

This toy is recommended for ages 19 months to 3 years. It's very durable and gets a rating of over 4 stars out 5, and that's out of 63 reviews. This is a great option is your looking for a quieter toy that children will still enjoy, and it still inexpensive!

Great timing, as a friend has just had a baby boy. Always good to stock up on toys for them to explore .. but, he may have to wait for some of these.

Oh there aren't a whole lot of toys for newborns. They prefer to eat and sleep mostly lol! When the time does come, I highly recommend the ball popper, that is if the parents don't mind the music! Thanks for stopping by! :)

I would have to say the most durable would be the Tee ball set or the blocks, but my son got some great use out of the ball popper. Thanks for sharing and the vote!
