Bathtub Spout Protectors

I'm sure the bathtub spout protector existed when I was a kid, but I never saw one until recently. I have to say, they look pretty nifty. I remember the big faucet in our bathtub, and I can recall scraping myself on it several times -- though I can't recall why. All I know is that it hurts. And it just makes sense to get one; they're affordable and look at how cool some of these are? What kid wouldn't want one? Below you'll see models that cover the spout, models that cover the knobs, models that make waterfalls, and models that create loads and loads of bubbles! I'm telling you, it's good to be a kid these days. Do be sure and read the specs on each one before purchasing though -- you want to make sure get one that's compatible with your spout.

KidCo Bath Spout Cover

If you're the type of mom who wants a sophisticated bathroom, this will work nicely. That flap you see can be undone to reveal the plug control thingie wotsit (yes, I made that technical term up myself) and when it's down it will keep your little princess from draining the water before bath time is over.

Boon Flo Spout Protector

Honestly? I want one of these Boon Flo spout protectors for my own bathtub. That's a pretty cool waterfall, if you ask me. And it's a far better alternative to making your kid stick their head under the faucet while you rinse their hair out. I am 32 and I can still remember how absolutely uncomfortable that was.

Froggie Spout Guard

The Froggie Spout Guard is beautifully colored and he's made of that translucent plastic that kids love to look at. Slip him onto the spout and water will flow out from the bottom. I would have loved this when I was a kid.

Elmo Bath Tub Spout Guard

Sesame Street's Elmo Bathtub Spout Guard works the same way the previous spout guard works; slip him over the spout and the water will pour out from the bottom. If your kid loves Sesame Street or Elmo, they will adore this very cute spout guard.

Tubbly Elephant Spout Cover

How cool is this Tubbly Elephant Spout Cover?! Not only does it cover the faucet, it also creates a water fall. He also creates bubbles! Pour some bubble bath into his trunk and voila! Lots of bubbles! I want one!

Skip Hop Moby Bath Protector

How cute! This bathtub spout protector is called Moby and you can probably guess why. What little boy or girl wouldn't adore this? Moby's fin attaches to most spout, you can easily hang him up when he's working and the product is made of tough, durable rubber.
