Buy a Baby Bottle Sterilizer Online

My favourite Philips Avent Sterilizer

In my previous hub, I talked about picabot a floor cleaning robot which is a really good helper in my home. Now, another good helper in my home is our baby bottle steam sterilizer. When Agnes wanted to buy a baby bottle sterilizer, we went searching for one at our local departmental stores. I was a little hesitant because the price for one is not cheap. I was thinking why can’t we just use a pot and put water to sterilize the baby bottles. I did not argue because she said it will help to reduce her workload. So after comparing a few products at various stores, we decided to go for the Philips Avent Electric Steam Sterilizer. We should have just bought it online and save the trouble of running around.

No regrets. We have been using it ever since. It is easy to use and hassle free. Within minutes, the baby bottles are sterilized. It saves us time and also water. Imagine the amount of water required to sterilize 6 baby bottles in a pot (on a daily basis). Also, we don’t have to monitor it (just press the button and you are set) as we do with a fire stove when using a pot to sterilize. Fire stove can be dangerous when we are tired, sleepy or when we are too pre-occupied with our babies or children. In addition to that, it is not bulky and convenient to take along during travel. We have always had it with us during our local travel. Maintenance wise, it’s really easy. We just need to de-scale or clean it once a month or so.

All in all, for parents that already have too little time with their babies or children, this item can be valuable at home. The steam sterilizers that I have selected here are featured on Amazon. One of the most trusted online retailers. No worries about products not reaching you on time.

I strongly recommend this as I have been using it every day, for close to 2 years.

Philips Avent iQ24 Steam Sterilizer

It sterilizes 6 (260ml/9oz Avent) baby bottles in 6 minutes. We have been using MAM BPA free bottles and they fit just as well. Contents will stay sterile up to 6 hours if unopened. It has digital display and sound alert. It is reliable and highly effective. If buying the sterilizer that comes with 2 bottles, make sure the bottles are BPA free.

HyGenie Portable Bottle Sanitizer

Eliminates up to 99% of harmful germs on bottles, nipples and pacifiers. Ideal sanitization for parents and babies on the go. Easy to use and quick to sanitize - in approximately 7 minutes. Safe to use, clinically tested environment friendly UV technology.

The world's first patented UV/Ozone (O3) lamp has dual mechanism technology. Ultraviolet emitted rays and activated ozone combine to kill germs and bacteria. These rays penetrate the germs and attack their DNA, resulting in their termination. Ozone, one of the most powerful disinfectants in the world, kills the germs by rupturing the cell wall and attacking the nucleus.

The First Years Babypro Sterilizer

This sterilizer has a unique design which has dual function. (1) The design directs steam deep into the baby bottles for thorough sterilization. (2) The design comes with multiple trays that double as stand alone drying rack which look stylish. It holds 5 wide neck bottles.

NUK Quick N Ready Steam Sterilizer

This sterilizer holds 6 wide neck bottles and takes 8 minutes to sterilize its contents.

Especially for Baby Steam Sterilizer

This sterilizer takes 8 minutes to sterilize its contents. It is easy to clean and simple to operate. This one may not be able to fit some long bottles. For the long bottles, you may have to sterilize the bottles first then the accessories.

Cheaper alternative – to be used with a microwave

Do you really need to sterilize your baby's feeding bottle?

Some believe not. Read more here..
