A Table & Chair for my Chiquitita.
A Table & Chair for my Chiquitita.

Never Again.

She flew over 7 seas to see us,she came and conquered our minds and hearts. She took 7 years to enter our planet.Born in USA to a Bangalorean boy our son who is 7x2 years with his wife his school mate now flying often to visit us with his daughter our Chiquitita.Music is her sleeping pill and her daddy's tummy her bed.I do not remember how my son spent his days during day.My work was my pleasure and had no choice. To be sandwiched between the top management and workmen my pleasure was my worry. My wife spent the best part of her life bringing up my son and daughter who were born with a gap of 9 years.I now have their photographs taken anytime, anywhere and anytime to refresh my memories of those golden years gone like a flash as I see now.I have their Audio recordings just one cassette preserved which I listen with my wife sometimes as and when we like. There was no Video at that time when they were kids. Now we see our Chiquitita on video so often though she is far away from us.My son has his hands ever on his video camera and takes our Chiquitita's movements if they are special. We hear her voice saying mama and papa over phone. That voice is a song for me and my wife.My wife is more in love with her is my feeling but than it's mother's love more powerful than fathers perhaps.Fathers tend to show authority more than love though their love is never less than mothers.Sons love mothers and daughters love fathers if I can say so,though it can never be taken for granted universal.Me as a boy remember my dad as a dad of special kind.My friends dads were also of the same type.My dad never bothered about us a 7 as it goes. Those days were condom free days. There was no TV so there were more baby's born free in Govt Hospitals. There were no Private Hospitals but the service was as good as a best run private hospital of the present days with all family planning volunteers running around in rural areas more than urban areas.A friend of mine who favors removal of Section 377 of our constitution says it's the best family planning plan given the desire for bisexual among young and old more perhaps in older men.I told him it's against nature,he said so what a friend of his asked him after his marriage if sex is compulsory after marriage,so things are all going against nature.Another friend of mine asked me why have children when there are so many around.Still another asked me if he should buy a cow when milk is available anywhere.Still one more friend told me we are born crying and we cry after marriage.

Whatever we both my wifeand myself feel happy to see our son crazy over our Chiquitita.

Sing the Song Chiquitita:-

Chiquitita, tell me what's wrong
You're enchained by your own sorrow
In your eyes there is no hope for tomorrow
How I hate to see you like this
There is no way you can deny it
I can see that you're oh so sad, so quiet

Chiquitita, tell me the truth
I'm a shoulder you can cry on
Your best friend, I'm the one you must rely on
You were always sure of yourself
Now I see you've broken a feather
I hope we can patch it up together

Chiquitita, you and I know
How the heartaches come and they go and the scars they're leavin'
You'll be dancin' once again and the pain will end
You will have no time for grievin'
Chiquitita, you and I cry
But the sun is still in the sky and shining above you
Let me hear you sing once more like you did before
Sing a new song, Chiquitita
Try once more like you did before
Sing a new song, Chiquitita

So the walls came tumblin' down
And your love's a blown out candle
All is gone and it seems too hard to handle
Chiquitita, tell me the truth
There is no way you can deny it
I see that you're oh so sad, so quiet

Chiquitita, you and I know
How the heartaches come and they go and the scars they're leavin'
You'll be dancin' once again and the pain will end
You will have no time for grievin'
Chiquitita, you and I cry
But the sun is still in the sky and shining above you
Let me hear you sing once more like you did before
Sing a new song, Chiquitita
Try once more like you did before
Sing a new song, Chiquitita
Try once more like you did before
Sing a new song, Chiquitita
