Constant Struggle
Endless Worry.
my family is rather big,in total there are seven
to have extra cash,my god it would be heaven
we scrimp and scrape, robb Peter to pay Paul
inevitably one debt has to take a fall.
pay for one trip,do without a day out
its annoying and saddening, fills me with doubt.
i wish I had some cash to spare,
not count the pennies, wouldn't have to care.
just to be able to splash the cash
throw the biggest family bash
invite all my kin, hire out a venue
pay for the drinks, and a fancy menu.
genuinely not give a thought ,to where my money's going
no more worrying,or fretting, sound evermore boring.
i live in a poor town, not much on the job site
people all around struggle, although we try with all our might .
to buy for our kids, feed them and more
keeping the wolves far from your door.
try to raise them right, respectful and polite
look after them good, maybe sleep better at night.
hope you've raised them to fend for themselves
not seeing them stacked on the poverty shelves.
Government Lies.
Our Tory government, steal our money like a thief
say the give more money, lying through their back teeth.
rewarding the bankers while we pay more tax
slimey worms,nothing but hacks.
skinning their expenses to pay for a treat
while we can juggle the cash,a tricky feat.
regulate the MPs,tax them to the full
£120.000 per year,ignore their bull.
Account for Everything.
we all need the accountants that service our MPs
pay for nothing, life would be a breeze.
election time approaches, they circle like roaches
haven't seen them in years, they put on crocodile tears.
pretend they care,so you give them your vote
only interested in their mortgages,or paying for a moat.
they're lower down the scale, than bugs and slugs
give you there speil, ranting political thugs.
i slam the door, don't waste your air
it is not as if they really care.
Money troubles.
Phoney investigations.
when an MP is accused of fiddling their expenses, they all have the gift of the gab, they are all very clever at wriggling their way out of their web of lies.in Britain over the past two years it was reported over 50 of these parasites fiddled their expenses.in total two were imprisoned ,even then they were realesed within a few weeks of their sentences.they were sent to minimum security prisons, not allowed to mix with normal people for their protection.its no wonder the British public don't have any faith in the justice system or the members of parliament.
Nationwide problem.
Real Sentences
For every pound an MP swindles?
Four Year Holiday.
My local MP has not been seen since the last election.Very rarely they show their faces, unless they want something from you.like your vote to ensure he's re-elected and pays for his mansion and holiday homes for another four years.the last time I actually seen him in our local constituency the majority of the public ignored him.
Never have enough.
Recent Events
some good happened in voting terms recently.in my countries referendum ,children aged 16-17 were allowed to vote for the first time.a momentous occassion.it's a great step forward in the change of future voting in Britain.i think in years gone by the Governments in power thought at the age of sixteen and seventeen kids were not mature enough to vote.the recent referendum has proved that theory wrong in so many ways.
Money curse.
Voting Dilemma!
Im a firm believer in using my vote,my democratic right, but it carries a clause.if you have a hand in getting a party elected, you run the added risk of paying a sleepy MPs wages for four years.also you might be the victim to the usual pre-election promises they are sure to fail you on,it's a real and ongoing problem, your damned if you do,and your damned if you don't.
Missed Opportunities.
When in my late teens, early twenties I neglected to vote. The Thatcher years were a bad era for Britain.i saw the damage she done at home and overseas and mistakenly I opted not to use my vote to get her booted out.missed opportunity.
