To get the children's attention
Some parents may yell.
Is their point getting across?
I can not tell.

Children deserve

The best from who

They depend on the most.

Some parents speak
To the children in a kind of hush.
Calling the toddlers
Cute names
And making them blush.

Positive reinforcement

Is the best

When rewards

Are given for

A child who is

Praised for just

Being themselves.

And when they are teens
Moms and Dads
Keep track of what they do.
Watch out teens-
There may be a "GPS"
Stuck on you!

Even if a teen
Does wrong

Don't wait too long

To remind them

That as a parent

You still care.

Some parents
May close their eyes to pray,
And hope that their
Sons and daughters
Accept Jesus Christ someday.

Of course, Children

No matter how old they are

Will make up their

Minds what to believe,

But never give up

Encouraging them

To do what is right.

No matter what style of parenting
No matter what Moms and Dads do,
Let's hope they don't forget to say
To their children
"I Love You."
