I love the baby products that Fisher Price produces from toys to furniture and more.  Cradle swings are becoming more popular with new mom's and especially the range of Fisher Price Papasan Swing's they have including:

  • Starlight Papasan Cradle Swing
  • Butterfly Garden Papasan Cradle Swing
  • Baby Papasan Cradle Swing
  • Nature's Touch Papasan Cradle Swing
  • My Little Lamb Papasan Cradle Swing

The papasan seat is really comfortable for babies and is a great place for them to hang out while mom gets things done around the house.  It is wider than the other cradle swings seat's which means your child's movement isn't restricted.

They can sleep in it or watch the mobile.  All Fisher Price Papasan Swing's have multiple speeds, movements and musical/sound settings.

They are designed to soothe your baby and keep them safe and off the floor.

My favorite papasan swing is the Fisher Price Butterfly Garden Cradle Swing (obviously for a girl because it's pink).  I think it's absolutely adorable and wish they made it in adult size (LOL).

All of the Papasan cradle swings go from front to back and side to side.  They can be plugged into any standard electricity socket to function or you can choose to run it from battery (much more useful if you are taking it with you to the grandparents house.

It's really easy to put together and the canopy designs are absolutely beautiful.

If you are using the batteries, then you will probably have to change them about once every month or so (that's if you use it constantly).

The weight limit says that you can have a baby up to 25 pounds in it, but I feel that around 17 pounds is more realistic (around 6 months of age) because after that it doesn't seem to swing as well and your baby may be able to tug at the canopy.

If you are looking for great priced, discount or cheap Fisher Price Papasan Swing's then try places like eBay.

FAQs about the Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

Does the seat of your swing wobble?

While the seat is supposed to move slightly to allow for it to swing correctly, if it wobbles too much it might be that the screws on the site are loose on one (or both) of the bars that connect the seat to the motor.

How long can you use the swing for?

While the manufacturer recommends that you can use this swing up to the weight of about 25 pounds, generally it works better for smaller babies and newborns.Once your bub gets to about seven or eight months it’s time to retire it or pass it on to a pregnant friend.

While larger babies can use it, if they are too heavy it impedes the swinging action and may start to squeak.
