How to keep toddlers busy with animated nursery rhymes, songs and stories.

Updated on May 22, 2013

Handling toddler tantrums

Parenting a toddler is a difficult task, especially when your precious little baby is in a cranky mood. Children love to have fun and unless there’s something exciting that captures their attention, they will never stay put in one place. Parents have a tough time keeping their toddlers occupied with things to do. Here’s a way to keep your little one happy and entertained for hours on end – Just play the animated nursery rhyme videos, stories and songs by Hooplakidz.

Why nursery rhymes are good for kids?

Singing nursery rhymes aloud with friends and family is the most memorable part of a kid’s childhood. Even as adults, we always remember which our favorite nursery rhymes were and why we never stopped loving them. A fat man called ‘Humpty Dumpty’ falling from a wall and breaking apart into tiny pieces becomes much more funny and understandable when it is shown in an animated video.

Children’s nursery rhymes are a lot more than just entertainment. They introduce young minds to letters, colors, numbers and math concepts; boosting their language skills. Kids love watching cartoons and over time they even try to imitate the actions of their favorite characters. Remember the Phonics song or rather the ABC alphabet song? That was the first song we as kids were introduced to and look where we’ve come today. From A-Z to stringing together complex words and forming contemplative sentences.

My 10 favorite Nursery Rhymes

Anything that rhymes manages to stick in our heads because it’s fun, silly or just plain catchy. That’s probably why most of us still remember the nursery rhymes that we were taught as kids. Now that I’m remembering my favorite nursery rhymes and songs, here are the top 10 on my list.

1) Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

2) Humpty Dumpty
