I Loved You From The Moment...
I have seen many sayings expressing a mother's love for her child and some of a father. Today on facebook a friend posted one such quotation on her status. I read it and I rarely, re-post these things I just "like" them. This time, however, I had more to say. So I posted it, then commented to my daughter and then to my son. But then as I reread what I wrote I realized it was not just my children who needed this message, because it is not just about loving your own. It is about learning to love all.
I loved you the minute I heard your heartbeat. I loved you the minute you were born. Then I saw your face & fell in love some more. You were only a minute old but I knew I would die for you & to this day I still would. When you choose to have a child, you make a conscious decision to allow your heart to walk around outside of your body...Put this on your status if you have children you love more than life.

The only thing about this quote I do not agree with, is that I loved you before I heard
your heartbeat. I loved you from the time when I was a child and
thought I wanted to have one of my own. I loved you when I thought of
what I would name you if you were ever to be a gift to me. I loved you
even more, the moment the doctor told me I was pregnant. Each day that you
are a present in my life, my love for you grows and grows. I would hate to lose you but if I did I would still love you. You would go on in my heart forever. Even when it is my time to leave, I would carry you with me into the light.

To My Daughter
To my daughter who has given me two more
beautiful gifts -- my heart overflows with love for you and those two
sweethearts. All that I mention above applies to both you and your brother. But this space is just for you and your treasures. I hope that you can see them for the riches that they are. See how important you are to them. You are responsible for these little minds. Make them shine like diamonds or let them be dull like coal. They are ready to be molded and sculpted. Just like any sculpture they have their own beauty and character--polish 'em up!

To My Son
To my son --one day I hope that you too will be ready, (no hurry!!) to present me with more bundles of love to share with you. It's like I told your sister,
"You don't think you could love anyone half as much as your parents until you meet your spouse. Then you think you couldn't possibly love anyone as much as your spouse until you meet your child. Then you just know that you couldn't love anyone anymore than this and then you are a grandparent."
Your heart is opened up so much that you now can feel love for nearly everyone. If you allow it there will be no one left out!
My kids and grand kids
To The World
My wonderful mother loved everyone. She believed that was the most important message from above. We have to love each other as well as ourselves for this to be a peaceful world. A world that works well is a world where we see everyone as important and not just you and me. Worrying about having the newest thing and more than your neighbor. Keeping up with the Joneses only causes heartache and grief. Sharing with the Joneses all year round not just at Christmas is a much better way to live.
Skin color, religion, culture, language can enrich society if we all have love in our hearts. It is so much easier to be understanding if we only set our minds to it. I am not a theologian, I am only a lay-person but I believe that my mother had it right about the most important message from above, and that goes for all religions, is to love everyone unconditionally.
My Dream/Heaven's Dream
I made it my goal to love everyone unconditionally. I hope my children and my grandchildren will do the same and continue it on down the line. I honor my mother's memory by continuing what I saw in her. I pray that I am able to complete my goal and that you and everyone else can too.
+ May God Bless you and keep you Safe!!
