Joys of My Life
This is my ode to joy to you
In here, among my peers and among those so much greater than I ever hoped to be, I have found Joy again. As I read your Hubs, enjoy the photos you've chosen, watch the videos, and listen to the music, this is a place of joy to me. As I meet you in forums, read your comments on my and other's pages, I feel joy. As I interact with you, even when I am frightened of rebuke, or in total awe of the master before me, I feel joy.
I have experienced joy before, but not like here.
Joy: 1 an emotion of keen or lively pleasure arising from present or expected good.
Joyful: 3 Causing or bringing joy, as an event, sight, news, etc: delightful
Joyous: synonyms, Joyful, happy, blithe, elated.
Due to this feeling, I do not sleep at night. Half a world away from some of you, I can only see some of you at night. If I cannot find you I go and read your Hubs to make sure you are still here, and haven't left like so many others before and since I came. During the day I run into others and check my e-mails for more comments from those of you I haven't met or fanned already.
See, I have fanned some people who are already gone, I think. I have found some who joined and never even posted a first Hub. I have said Good-bye to someone who was leaving, and informed others he was about to go. I mention this because I feel sad for them. They did not get to know you the way I do. They missed a chance at Joy.

Stuck in The Middle
I have read hubs and posts in forum as we all try to have our say, thinking our pearls of wisdom will be appreciated by the masses. I have joined you and fled from you, but the Joy does not leave me. I try to find ways to bring joy to you. Barring that I look for those in need of immediate help to perhaps bring back a hope of joy.
My mother was a writer, and on writing her advice was this.
- Write what you know.
- Never give up on your writing, it will always bring you joy.
- Do not be discouraged by rejection, it helps you grow as a writer.
- Never throw away anything you've written. It may be worth some money one day, if not for you then your children or grandchildren.
I tell you these things as many of you have been here for a long time, but new people, who have no idea how close you all are, and that you are used to the bicker and banter and bumping (still don't know what that is). You have grown used to each other's quirks.
I am honored to have been welcomed here. I thank you all for that. For other newcomers I say, don't give up. There is joy here.
Newcomers Listen to this song Before you go to forums

The things in my life that brought me joy. In the comment section please tell me things that bring you joy.
My brothers and sisters, my parents and grandparents.
My children, and my husbands (There were a couple of good times with those guys)
My grand children.
My dogs Cody and Max (Long since departed, both due to bu-fa frogs)
Music, all music.
Learning new things, new people, gaining knowledge of other cultures.
I Googled Faybe and I was sixth down the page. I googled Sa Toya and she was fifth down the page. See where you are, maybe it will bring you a modicum of joy as well.
