Kindergarten number worksheets

Kindergarten number worksheets are designed to help kindergarten kids learn to recognize numbers, say numbers in order, count, and trace and write the numbers. Kindergarten worksheets are much used in kindergarten because they are an interesting way for kids to learn since kids learn better by doing something rather than just listening. Worksheets that have been designed well, have many attractive illustrations, cartoon characters and appealing themes, interest many kids and they are happy to do them.

Number worksheets for kindergarten could have the following types of worksheets:

- Worksheets for tracing and writing numbers

- Worksheets where the activity involves writing numbers in sequence / filling gaps

- Worksheets with counting activities

Number recognition worksheets

Number recognition worksheets have activities that need kids to recognize numbers. For example a worksheet can have different pictures bearing different numbers. Missing number worksheets

Missing number worksheets involve filling in the missing numbers in a sequence of numbers. These can be as simple as just a set of numbers in sequence with some numbers missing that have to be filled in.

Worksheets can involve filling in missing numbers to help achieve some objective. For instance in the second example worksheet below, the activity is to fill in the missing numbers and then join the 'dots' to get a picture of a top.

Thank you peachpurple. Yes, homework may sometimes be more fun. I think schools should try hard to make lessons more fun by having lots of interesting activities and a child friendly atmosphere.
