My Beautiful Daughter Brittany

This hub is dedicated to my beautiful daughter Brittany. To have such a wonderful daughter it would seem a shame not to write a hub about her. I have two other children which I'm going to write about in other hubs as well but I'm going to start out with her. She is the oldest. I want the world to know how much I love her and how proud I am of her! All parents love to brag on their kids, right :)

I remember the day she was born. I was so happy. She was the little girl that I was missing for so long. She was going to fill the hole in my heart and she did just that. I remember the first time I heard her cry- it was pure bliss the feeling of love that washed over me. I often wonder if a parents love for their child is the closest way to compare to the way God loves us. She was a beautiful, healthy baby and very good natured. I was so proud of her and still am. One of the strongest memories I have is when she laughed for the very first time. I remember it like it was yesterday. She was on a blanket on the floor in front of the TV and she turned onto her tummy. She raised her head to look at the TV and started to laugh that sweet belly laugh with a big open mouth grin. That kind of laugh where you want to just pick them up and eat them up... that kind of laugh.

Over the years she grew, and I kept thinking to myself, okay you can stop growing now!!!! But she just kept growing. Today she is 18 years old and a senior in high school. Where in the world has the time gone?? It seems just like yesterday she was learning to crawl. She will be graduating high school this year and I am SO PROUD of her. I would like to share with you the kind of person she is.

She is kind hearted and good natured. She has a very "sweet" soul. She has a heart of gold.

She is compassionate and empathetic and very sensitive and does not want to hurt others feelings.

She is giving in nature. On her 16th birthday she chose to have people bring things to donate to a local pet shelter rather than bring gifts for her.

She is a caretaker.. She volunteers for a Shih tzu adoption and rescue company and takes care of sick and hurt dogs.

She has such a STRONG talent of creativity. Her drawings, art work, etc..... blow me away!

She is beautiful.. both inside and out. I'm not sure if she believes me but I tell her all of the time.

She is tough and very passionate in the way she feels and believes about things.

Brittany is strong and stubborn (in a good way) and I know that she can accomplish anything she wants to. I know she will bless others just as she has been a blessing to me. She has grown into a beautiful young lady and she has her whole life ahead of her. I wish her the very best and will be there with her all along the way.

As I mentioned above, Brittany is very creative.. and she's given me permission to share some of her work with you! She does digital art using edited photos, drawings, she does water color pencil drawings, etc. I am still waiting to get a photo to post of her beautiful Marilyn Monroe drawing.. which I will be adding here as soon as I can. Thank you for reading about my precious daughter Brittany. I am so SO proud of her, I know when she has kids someday she will understand just how much I love her. I'm truly blessed to have her in my life. I have to say a special thank you to Brittany's father Kurtis and Step Mom Roxanne, because they for the most part have helped Brittany to become the lovely young lady that she is today. Brittany and her brother Ryan have lived with her father and step mom since she was 5 years old but I've always stayed close and made sure to stay in their lives on a regular basis. I couldn't have lived without having my kids in my life.

Before ending this hub, I want to say to you, Brittany- You are a gift from God in my life.. I am here for you always and I love you.
