So can we separate ourselves from God.

Source

Based on passages from the Bible! What is Apostasy?

So here is the Question if the bible say's there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God. Why are there still those who are being carried away by false doctrines. Can we be separated by the Love of God.

In trying to understand the Theology we must first look over what exactly is Apostasy.

Apostasy in Christianity refers to the rejection of Christianity by someone who formerly was a Christian. The term apostasy comes from the Greek word apostasia ("ἀποστασία") meaning defection, departure, revolt or rebellion. It has been described as "a willful falling away from, or rebellion against, Christian truth. Apostasy is the rejection of Christ by one who has been a Christian...

As Christians there are Three very destructive things that can Rein us into Apostasy.

1. Temptations: Christians were tempted to engage in various vices that were a part of their lives before they became Christians (idolatry, sexual immorality, covetousness, etc.).

Falling to temptation, can do numerous things in our lives. It can lead us into religious out ward acts, and separate us inside from hearing the voice of the Lord.

2. Deceptions: Christians encountered various heresies and false teachings spread by false teachers and prophets that threatened to seduce them away from their pure devotion to Christ.

Deceptions can come in the form of being disobedient. This is where we decide what part of Gods word we want to hear. After we listen we open a door for seducing spirits. That will in turn cause us to be deceived ... Eve was listening to that seducing spirit when the serpent said did God really say.... here he was questioning what God said. His Word..

3. Persecutions: Christians were persecuted by the governing powers of the day for their allegiance to Christ. Many Christians were threatened with certain death if they would not deny Christ.

So in some countries this may still be the case.. However in America we have freedom of religion. Our persecutions are still here they a assassins of character. Persecutions from other faiths and circumstance. They can cause someone to give in and discount thier faith. Which is very silly cause God not only never leaves you, he gives you the power to get through every situation you face.

We all want to limit God. We come to a place where we think that he will wash his hands of us. We are human and somewhere in our nature we have decided that when someone has done to wrong that we should wash our hands of them.In (John 10:28)the bible says My sheep shall not perish, then certainly Hebrews 6 will not teach that some of them do. Paul the Holy Spirit assures us that nothing can separate the children from the love of their Father then, without doubt, the portion now before us does not declare that something will. It may not always be easy to discover the perfect consistency of one scripture with another, yet we must hold fast to the unerring harmony and integrity of God’s Truth. In saying this I believe that we can our selves separate our love from him. He doesn't move we do his love remains the same it is our own will and way that pulls us from him.

I do think there are times when we are in a position to fall. These times are times of testing. It is when we allow other things to choke out the word of God, that we fail. I don’t think if we confess and believe on Jesus that our salvation can be taken. However I do believe that if we openly or in our heart deny the power of God and willingly turn and mock God we are sitting in the line of judgment. I believe that knowing and denying, is what could put us in a position to be judged. However, I still am not sure of what would become of you. Look at Paul, God used him, and he persecuted Christians. I will not be one to find out.

Will you?

God's Kingdom is WITHIN US. It cannot leave us and we cannot leave it. We are God's of our own creation and the source made it so that we could learn about ourselves. Hell was the trench that the Roman put all the dead bodies that they hung and then burned them to stop the spread of disease. God's kingdom envelopes everything...hell, heaven, death, birth, Jesus, love, compassion. Jesus was a very compassionate man and the main thing in all of the NT is to be compassionate and that is what we are to learn and exhibit to others. Where is the love that Jesus told you to spread?

Wow God's of our own creation.By the SOURCE who is the source?

Even science can't explain the Wonders of God. True seperation is Hell. God is not there.

This hub was created to give believers assurance that God does not remove his love from us.. He is forever merciful. His love endures forever. I pray that we all come to know the Love of the one true God. My prayer is that we can read the word and receive the word the way that it was created for us to do so. With a spirit of wisdom and revelation. God bless you all.

God is the Whole...of which we are all a part. In truth, we cannot sever this bond. This is like unto attempting to separate the cells that make up your body...from the body itself. We can, however, lose awareness of our connection to source, and this is the experience of hell. Its like a man who lives an impoverished life...only because he has forgotten the treasures tucked away in his safe. All we need to do is be Re-minded of Spirit...which is our treasure, and our true Identity. When we know ourselves as Spirit...we cannot help but to know God. For in spirit, the oneness of Creator and Creation is apparent. God is not a Concept to be understood by the mind..but an Experience to Be had by the Spirit. **Blessings**

Who believe and who does not believe is not God's concern. You are deciding who and who does not believe. Where is Love Thy Neighbor As Thyself? Where is Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You? You are not the one who Judges. This hub is for believers----believers in who or what? Why are you dividing? God never said to divide nor did Jesus so what makes you think that you have the right to do so? Think about that as you read the words Jesus said in that Bible. If you wanted to have all believers read this and no one else go to church where they can continue to poison your mind into thinking that you can be on a pedestal for your own self. Being God of all the your create is NOT an EGO thing in which most Christians think it is by how they are taught by religion. When you understand what you have created you will either be disgusted or sit is awe of those things you have done. Your EGO will not be involved as in to say that you are better than anyone else. It will not be there to tell you that you can do anything that you want.......you can....but you will not understand consequences. It is all LOVE.

Hey, I don't understand what it is your are trying to express here.... There is no division anywhere in anything I wrote it wasn't to argue just to simply say God never separates his love from us. I don't believe Hell is a place that the Romans made up I believe the Bible clearly speaks of hell.. That is the book I follow. God bless

One of my goals this year is to read the Bible through. I've done this in the past, but as I get older, every year becomes all the more significant. That's why I'm keen about the views you present. I measure what you share according to what the Bible presents, and thus far, I find what you share right on target. Currently, this subject of apostasy is of great interest to me. As is the case with a lot of churches, my church is part of a greater conference. Recently, that conference has passed an edict that I find contrary to the will of God. Without going into detail, my stance is that if I follow this edict, then I am, in a sense, denying what Jesus taught...in essence, then, I would be denying Christ. There will be persecution, but when that persecution comes from one's own church conference, it gives one pause to go back to the Source...God's Word. Anyway, just a long way of saying that I appreciate your sharing ministry here on HubPages.

Your words are truth and a warning to those who need to know that God does not abandon us, we abandon Him. Psalms 93 says this perfectly. Beautifully said, Ccurry.
