Diabetes....I'll be devestated if any of my children got it too.
As far back as I know it started with my grans sister (Ivy). She had type 2 for years. Then when I was 8 I got type 1 followed by my uncle (Ivys son) with type 2 due to obesity. A year after my own diagnosis as my family were just starting to grip onto the idea, my youngest of two elder brothers got type 1. Since then My grandad has been diagnosed and if my boyfreind isnt careful I'm worrired he'l get type 2 also. My brother is amazing at controlling his glucose levels whereas I'm terrible and used to be in and out of hospital all the time. However I've learnt my lessons and am now well controlled, but like I say I hope my children dont get it and if they do, they wont be an idiot like myself. :)
