Concentrate on your education, above all else.

Be the better person! By that, I don't mean to suggest they are better than other people. Contrarily, I ask my children to always take the high road instead of going down into the ditch with others.

Believe in yourself - you can do anything you set your mind to if you remain vigilant.

Don't be afraid to be yourself, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

    Love who you are.

I believe this is one of the most important things that you can teach a child.  It doesn't matter what they do now or what they grow up to do later. Status and wealth are unimportant.  If you can't love yourself then you will never truly be happy with the choices you make.

Always stay on the positive tip! Look for things that go right instead for things that go wrong.

That's all you need for a happy life.

I would advise my child to follow his or her passion when it comes to choosing an occupation.

no matter what you have done or not done, no matter who you are or who you are not, no matter who you become or do not become, you are worthy of love, and dad will always love you no matter what. btw, i repeat this to them regularly. i simply encourage them to be the best "themselves" they can be. we are all masterpieces anyhow.
