The distribution of formula milk upon discharge is also discourage.
I say Good for NY! At least somewhere seems to be supporting what our bodies were made for instead of promoting formula which actually says on the side of the can "Breastfeeding is best for your baby". That is an uninformed excuse that could be avoided with proper knowledge. We need to encourage more information to be available to help mothers. I can't see how anyone could be against encouraging breastfeeding!
