Why are some teenagers so lazy? Is begging their parents for money considered a job to them?
Why are some teenagers so lazy? The only thing they work hard at is begging for money. How can a parent instill good working skills into their children? And if their are some hard working teens out there I would love to hear from you, so I can make my kids feel bad about how lazy they are. Thank You.
I think today's youth are becoming increasingly dependent on convenience and with the added stress of today's socioeconomic atmosphere, parents are more willing to give in to their requests. Technology has added to this attitude of "give it to me now" and the added pressure of being in sync with your friends doesn't help. For example, my 8 year daughter asked for a cellphone because her friends at school had cellphones. I told her that if someone wanted to call her, they could call me and then I could tell them that she was busy doing her chores and homework and she could talk to them at school the next day. She doesn't ask me for a cellphone anymore.
Most teenagers are lazy and be for money if they have an easy life, if they are financially secure and are given everything from a child. Growing up with the basic needs and more surely makes a difference in their lives. Instead parents should let their kids know from early childhood nothing in life is for free. They have to earn it as their parents did so.
when i was young, after i finish my secondary school, i had to start working for 3 odd jobs in order to cover up my dad's burden. Nowadays teens are lucky because parents work like hell just to satisfy their needs. They get what they want too easily that is why they are lazy to work for it. My daughter is the same. We told her to work part-time, she refused and showed her sour face.
