I agree that the world should accept them but reality dictates some behaviors. I am against changing a child's looks just for cosmetic reasons. They should wait ill they are adults and decided for themselves.

Yes a cleft palate or some other major deformity is not cosmetic, it's a necessary surgery.There's a growing trend for kids to get cosmetic surgery to fit in and not be bullied. It seems society supports surgery more than stopping bullies...
I don't believe cleft palate is not a "necessary surgery". One can live their entire life without getting it and function quite normally. The surgery is for cosmetic reasons. I agree with you lots of teens want to be admired or look like "stars".

Yes, i think that would be a good reason for some cosmetic procedure.This would be a problem for the rest of her life if her parents didn't do something I feel. Thanks for commenting.
