Should women put off having children in a economic crisis environment?
No. As it is now (at least in Canada) there is a population crises that immigration can't make up for. The population is ageing. There is right now four working people for everyone one retiree. In ten years, it will be two working people for one retiree. This will cause even more economic problems - we need to start having more children.
No! Having children should not be put off for anything. Neither should getting married. Your heart should tell you what to do - not the economy.
No, for any country that is not a good idea including India and China. If that happens there is ample chance of we inducing population crises across the globe.
We just need to find and try better ways to keep against the Economic slowdown. Moreover the economic downturn will never stay forever. It also has up's and downs as we all have them in our life. To tackle it, may be each couple need to workout to have an effective and economical way of spending.
I cannot believe the idiocy of people. Well, actually I can. The reason that the world is in crisis with dwindling resources and pollution is OVERPOPULATION.
Pumping out litters of human spawn for reasons of the heart, whether or not you can afford them, feed them, clothe them, house them, educate them... is the height of idiocy. And yet the human race continues. The stupidity of the human race means that it is doomed, and doomed to die very unpleasantly in a planet-wide cesspool of its own waste. With even more population, the RESOURCES to clean up the cr... will not be available.
BTW, the so-called demographic crisis is simply a manufactured crisis. It is not a law of nature that everyone gets to retire at age 65 (whatever) after working for forty or so years and then sponge off the younger population for another twenty or so.
But thank you all very much for the small increment to my income that all the stupid voters provide me in my geezerhood. Bwah, hawh, hah!

What do you think would happen if more people delayed or chose not to have children? It is a personal choice to have or not to have children. However, would there be mostly positive results or mostly negative results if say 5% - 15% of the world chose to delay or not have children? What things would...

Would you have children if you had it to do all over again?I'm single and constantly being told I should have kids, blah, blah, blah. I don't want children, period. I want to do a lot of things in life and having children simply is not one of them. Shockingly, I had a friend admit that if she had...

Is it ok that I don't want to have children?Considering my age I have realized that I won't have children. Is that ok? I know this always disappointed my mother (who is now deceased), but the last couple of years I feel guilty I haven't had a child and probably won't have a child. ...

If you chose not to have children, do you regret it?This question is mostly aimed at adults who decided not to have children (whether because of infertility fatigue or personal preference) but I invite others who don't fit perfectly into the niche to share their thoughts as well.
