Best websites for children

With winter just around the corner, bringing with it its promise of colder darker nights, and for most of us that means that our children will be spending more time indoors. Boredom levels can reach an all time high at this time of year unless children are kept occupied. If your child is creative, then you might want to check out some of these websites, which are guaranteed to keep them busy and amused for hours on end, doing something productive. These are five of the best children's websites that I found particularly useful and educational, so no more excuses when the kids say "I'm bored!" Really informative article! I really wish parents would spend more time with their kids while they are on the computer. Most parents have no idea what their kids are doing on there!

@ tangoshoes - Thanks for commenting. I totally agree with you, there are so many sites that children can get into, but I think as parents, we should monitor what our kids get up to when they are online.
