I still enjoy watching my four year old grandson cross the parking lot. He and his friend (just turned five) walk out to the end of the cars, shake their heads three times and start walking. I still have to stop them every time and tell them the point is NOT to shake their heads, it's to actually LOOK at the cars in the lot - are they moving? Is a car coming? Once there were three kids, it was hysterical to see them all stop, shake their heads (one even had her eyes closed!) and then think it was safe!
