I remember dressing up for Easter in new patent leather shoes, lace trimmed ankle socks,a lavender suit and new hat(bonnet) for Easter.
it used to be special and I don't see many people dressing up for this christian holiday any more.
do you and your family still carry on the traditions of dressing up for Easter?

When we were children Easter was very special and it meant a new shirt and once even an entire suit for me and my brother. My sisters were like you patent leather shoes and all the little girl frills which I still enjoy seeing and appreciate mom's who dress them this way.

yeah I would like people to dress up for special occasions again..
I'm sick of seeing people wear baggy, wrinkled jeans, baseball caps, and pajamas out in public...wink
