HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!

As a new hubber I think there’s no better way to start but to have something like this for the mothers, especially that Mother’s Day is fast approaching and the whole world is celebrating this every year. What’s special for me about this coming mother’s day is that I can write something about it this year.

>

I, myself is a mother too and I believe that you have to be a mother as well, before you can completely understand a mothers love. As a child I’ve been pampered with so much love, this may not mean in terms of material things, even if they can’t give me the things that I wanted so much I know deep in my heart that I am loved.

As a teenager, there were times that I wanted my independence so much that I mistook this love as being overprotective and in my mind I thought my freedom was being suppressed. It is only now that I understand that a mother fear so much for the safety of their child. Now as an adult, I can already relate to most of the mothers out there. They have been through a lot of things that they believed before their children can think of doing a certain thing; Mothers already know the consequence of doing it. There is this saying that goes “Bago ka pa makarating, nakabalik na kami” (Before you can arrive, we already have returned). It is similar to the much popular saying that is “Mother knows best”.

>

I only have been a mother for more than two years now. Just like some of the new mums we may feel that we are way behind of the mothers who have been mothers all their life. But being a mother is not measured by how much time you’ve spent mothering, as long as you have a mothers heart; that care and love for your child (a child of your own or not), then this special day is for all of us. Cheers!
