Product Recall -- Susan, Can You Answer a Question, Please?
My 16 week old german shepherd ingested a small quanity of rat poison two weeks ago. (Stupidity on my husband's part.) I rushed her to emergency care and located the brand name from the company while they induced vomiting and then gave her activated charcoal. Based on the drug, she's on a Vitmain K regimen now for 2 to 3 weeks. It had to be mixed with wet food to be absorbed. I purchased Nutro Ultra andNutro Max - she's had 17 cans of the "bad" lot numbers. Our vet pulled blood and her kidney function is fine, but of course, over the past few days, I've been making her a scrambled egg with milk and cheese, a few treats +1/2 cup of her dry food for her twice daily Vitamin K pills. We also purchased Beef N More (Merrick?) after I phoned the company and customer service assured me the brand was NOT on any recall list. So, she's had quite a change in diet over two days -- this morning I noticed her stools were VERY soft and then later almost liguid. I'm waiting for my vet's office to open, but wondered if this may be due solely to the dramatic diet changes. She's continued to be a very active and happy pup from the very beginning -- doesn't appear ill in the least. Thank you for any response -- I know you're swamped with questions right now.

this so sad ,just go toshow you that so corp.are taking no claims because $$$$$$$ come out of there pockets. i will feed my boys chic,rice not wheat rice no more dry or wet food ihope the owner who loved one sue hell of all of them close down the fda should have better standard our guy/gal are my family when people ask me if i have kid i say yes 4 legg ones i have 2 winne dogs handsome/thumper nicknames one can't keep his tail still.thank you

I read a lot of information in Hubpages.com. I would like to know about some information that I saw in Hubpages and it says Cat review on it and is that food that is good to feed the cats or is that foods that are on the recall list. The information is Titled Cat Review and it does not say what it is.

I began this website when my dog, Bandit, became sick and was paralyzed in the back legs. We discovered that he had a tumor in his abdominal region. Needless to say, we were scared. That's when I began my research about dog health and my initial discover about the effects of commercial dog foods and the benefits of all natural dog food like the brand we switched to...Canidae.

After that initial research, http://www.dogfeast.com became my passion. I felt it was important to get the word out. It's really nice to see others are doing the same. I appreciate all your efforts and hope others will join us in getting the word out about all the benefits of natural dog food.

Cisco's Mom

Cisco is my beautiful marbled Bengal -he was solid muscle roughly 20-22lbs. Now he is 12.9lb and that is up from 12.3. He was poisoned by Natural Balance Venison and Green Peas. He is on a broad spectrum of medications to bring him back from the brink of death. He was licking the concrete on the fireplace incessantly. I googled the odd behaviour -and suddenly the recall... I ran desperately to the vet. The medication in my frig and the cat laying on the bed in the bedr -remind me very closely of my father as he died of cancer. He couldn't participate with the family and the medications were horrible and made him ill. The new food is bland and his life sucks. Who am I talking about my cat or my father ? It's hard to tell -they've both been forced into a terminal situation. I lost my dad, I'm trying to save my cat. I've emailed the company -I'm certain -altho' the voluntary recall they will not offer to cover the $470 I'm in so far. And that's as deep as it gets as the vet has said; after this- there are no other alternatives. Each day is very tough for me. Especially as we wrap him in the throw, and being to put syringes of various chicken flavored medications into him. Man......... Molly
