Hi Diana:
It is interesting that you talk about arranged marriages as a way of having Successful relationships.I feel that while this might work in some cultures, It has decided drawbacks to western culture. Not that many years ago, I had a friend who had been promised to a male since childhood. He was ok with this as he had never left his native country. The girl had moved with her family here to Canada and as with all youngsters had been immersed into this culture. She knew that it could happen, but never thought of it until she turned that magic age when wow..she was supposed to marry what was to her a stranger. It was in short a nightmare. she actually went to court to fight it...she won, but she also alienated her family and some of her friends. How did these young people get to know each other? Nothing was solved...so I do find flaws here. I do agree with you on one point and that is we need to educate our young people. I just don't know all the answers but then who does.
I will add one more comment and that is I have also seen people stay together for all the wrong reasons and in the end it has caused so much hardship..it is ugly. I know, because I did it. Talk about the spirit and emotions being crushed..it can cause a long lasting pain.
To Your Success Diana...good post!

Thanks for becoming a fan....Yes you can melt crushed bottles in your kiln with a mold and have excellent results. However you can not mix different bottle glass because the coe (coefficient of expansion) is different for every bottle. This causes stress cracks in the finished product.
I think my next hub will be on this very subject. I like to take broken dishes, usually old Depression glass and make things like glass snowflakes, earrings, pendants, and sun catchers.
Thanks for the great idea....Sue
