Christmas cocktails bring about a sense of soothing and sensual environment at holiday gatherings and parties. Today, cocktails can be deliciously enjoyed whether alcholic, non-alcholic, sweet or not so sweet. With a host of recipes to choose from either online or in book stores, I've discovered a few cocktail books that will make your Christmas holiday festive, fun and fabulously quenching.

For the calorie-conscience counters, Hungry Girl Happy Hour: 75 Recipes for Amazingly Fantastic Guilt-Free Cocktails and Party Foods by Lisa Lillien (June 2010) will be a great hit. This book received a 5 star online rating. Lisa is the creator of the Hungry Girl brand and Hungry-Girl.com and is a New York Times Best-Selling author. Her book is filled with mouthwatering recipes for fruity, blended and mixed drinks, such as; Hungry, Hungry Hurricane, Red Hot Cinnamon Shots and Spiked Strawberry Shake; and the recipes are low in calories but tastefully big on flavor. Just perfect for a girl's night out, too.

From true coctail fans, Left Coast Libations: The Art of West Coast Bartending (100 Original Coctails) by Ted Munat and Michael Lazar (September 2010) is an entertaining read. A 5 star online rating for this exciting culinary movement book. It combines one-of-a-kind recipes and techniques that have been tested with care and also include "ice" and "egg white" trends. Mixed with a pinch of wit and a dose of attitude, this cocktail book comes highly recommended by it's readers for being a great gift or keepsake for a joyous mixology guide.
