Quick and Easy Make Ahead Appetizer.

Make this Appetizer and sit back and enjoy the compliments.

Everyone from 8 to 80 years old fall in love with this appetizer. You can stuff the dates with many things. What ever you have on hand. No one knows what it is... but they ALL vanish almost as soon as you put them out. People hunt me down to get this recipe.

It's easy. Only takes 15 minutes to put together and around 15 minutes to bake in the oven.

Children who have never had a date before ask their mother to buy the dates and make the stuffed dates for them!

Stuffed Date Appetizer Recipe

1 Pound of Bacon (cut in half) Count the pieces of bacon and then...

Use as many Dates as there are pieces of Bacon

Cut as many triangle pieces of pineapple as you have the Dates that will be used. Or...

2-3 slices of sliced almonds for each Date

3 Tablespoons Cajun Seasoning (or Curry)

Two Toothpicks for each Stuffed Date

Open each Date a little larger to fit the pineapple or almond pieces. Roll each date with a piece of bacon. Roll the bacon wrapped date in the Cajun or Curry seasoning. Secure each stuffed date with two toothpicks. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 12-15 minutes. Keep a careful watch because ovens vary with the heat they produce. You may need to take the appetizers out of the oven as soon as they are browned and crispy.

Until we meet again... Francesca27

Dates love cream, so I go with a nice goat cheese for a party favorite.
