What Is It Made Of?
This stainless, metallic kitchen tool is approximately 16 inches high with an interior diameter of 12 inches. The whole body is made of high-grade hand cast aluminum that ensures durability and quality. What’s great about this metal compound is its heat efficiency. Compared with other types of metals commonly used for kitchenware, hand cast aluminum heats up much faster.
Moreover, it distributes heat evenly throughout. The whole pressure cooker features a metal-to-metal seal technology thus there are no gaskets or rubber seals that easily get burned, cracked or destroyed. This metal-seal technology is exclusive to All American products.
All American Pressure Canner/Cooker has a clean, smooth metallic satin finish which makes it easy to clean and maintain. There are no painted surfaces thus you need not worry about discoloring, cracking or chipping due to heat and long time use.
Aside from its well-built body, All American 921 Pressure Cooker and Canner also has easy-to-use features. Its stay-cool Bakelite top handle is sturdy and fits the hand well. Pressure regulator adjusts the weight with increments of 5 psi and a maximum weight of 15 psi. For an accurate control of released heat, it comes equipped with a readable steam gauge. Canning and preserving foods need an exact amount of pressure and heat to maintain the freshness and flavors of foods.
Its lid can easily be opened or covered. Sturdy screws secure the lid to the pot while positive action clamps keep the cover aligned with the base. This ensures a steam-tight seal which is essential with high-pressure cooking.
American 921 Pressure Cooker also has an automatic overpressure release. It is an added safety feature that is comparably better than conventional gasket or rubber cookers. Added to that, this cooker also allows you to stack up to three layers of jars inside. Thus, you can make as many preserves in one cooking. It is both energy and time efficient.
As you may have experienced, some parts of the pressure cooker are more prone to constant heat. These same regions likewise wear faster than any part of the cooker. To prevent thinning and subsequent bursting on these points, double thickness metals protect these edges. There is no need to fret about your pressure ending up with uneven metal thickness.
With its wide interior space and capacity, this All American kitchenware can be used for different purposes. Its heavy-duty construction is basically intended for high-pressure cooking, best used for canning. In fact, it is one of the recommended methods of preserving low acid fruits and vegetable.
