Beat the Heat with Refreshing Chilled Beverage Recipes

Cold Citrus Fizz

Ingredients

  • 1 six ounce container frozen orange juice concentrate
  • ¼ of a cup of frozen limeade concentrate
  • ¼ of a cup of frozen grapefruit juice concentrate
  • 1 liter of ginger ale

Preparation Instructions

Allow frozen juice concentrate to thaw. Place in large covered pitcher and mix until well combined. Refrigerate. Prior to serving, add ginger ale. Serve over ice.

Fruity Citrus Iced Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon of sweetened iced tea (homemade or store bought)
  • 1 cup of orange juice
  • ½ cup of lemon juice

Preparation Instructions

Pour the iced tea into a large container; stir in the orange juice and lemon juice. Refrigerate and serve over ice.

Cran-Raspberry Citrus Punch

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup of lemon juice
  • 1 cups of orange juice
  • ½ cup of sugar or sugar substitute
  • 1 quart of cranberry juice
  • 1 two-liter bottle of ginger ale
  • 1 pint of raspberry sherbet

Preparation Instructions

Place lemon juice, orange juice, cranberry juice, and sugar into a large covered pitcher or punch bowl and stir until sugar is dissolved. Allow to chill in refrigerator. Prior to serving, mix in ginger ale and add sherbet.

Grape Citrus Cooler

Ingredients

  • 1 six ounce container frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1 six ounce container frozen grape juice concentrate
  • 1 six ounce container frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 two-liter bottle of ginger ale

Preparation Instructions

Place the frozen juice concentrates and water in a large pitcher with a lid and mix well. Chill in the refrigerator. Just prior to serving, stir in the ginger ale. Serve over ice.

Fizzy Citrus Iced Tea

  • 1 liter of sweetened iced tea (homemade or store bought)
  • 1 liter of ginger ale
  • 1 cup of orange juice

Mix orange juice and sweet tea and chill until just before serving. Combine with ginger ale and serve over ice.

Tropical Mint Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon of sweet tea (homemade or store bought)
  • ½ cup of fresh mint leaves
  • 2 large cans of pineapple juice

Mix tea and pineapple juice in a large pitcher and stir to combine. Add mint leaves. Chill until serving. Serve over crushed ice. If desired, garnish with additional fresh mint leaves.
