Best Place To Eat In Dehradun
A Prologue To My Encounter With This Restaurant
Good food is something, which sticks to the priority list of many, whether they are outstation or going out for a change within their city. Also if the food served at nice, clean, and spacious environment with live kitchen and reasonably priced, it does the icing in the cake and you certainly cannot ignore it but would wait with batted breath for the next visit.
I think it will be utterly cruel for all the foodies on my behalf if I will not share this great place with you all.
What Led Me To This Restaurant
Dehradun is a place which is hugely popular amongst tourist, both local and foreign guests, as it is gateway to one of the most sought after destination, the queen of the hills, Mussoorie. I actually halted at Dehradun two years back while going to Mussoorie, and a foodie directed me to this restaurant and the result was that this time instead of staying at Mussoorie, I stayed at a Hotel, stone’s throw from this restaurant, just to enjoy the comfy food and warmth and hospitality of this restaurant for consecutively 4 days. Daily we used to have 2 meals there, and in between we used to go Mussoorie which is just at an hour’s distance from Dehradun.
Name Of The Restaurant
The name of this restaurant is Ali’s. It is a quite spacious restaurant with two separate sections, one with a partial open front and one with closed front. You can sit at either of the sections, the rates, menu, and services are same.
What To Eat When You Are At Ali’s?
The menu is not very elaborate and vast but instead they have only 30-40 items to offer you, but get yourself blindfolded and ask anything from the menu and the result will be content and smile in your face. They serve content, pleasure, substance and satisfaction for money. Especially, do not miss the Dal (lentil), Kali Mirch Murg, and Biryani. Biryani is awesome. If I would say that only these three should be tried by you, then I would be doing a great disservice and injustice for the great chefs who are preparing these dishes live for you. Simply ask anything from the menu and you will jump with joy.
Location of This Foodies Delight
It is only 1 kilometer from the Dehradun Railway Station exactly at 43 Gandhi Road. Get down at the station, take private auto and they will charge Rs. 50 to drop you here or take shared auto and they will charge only Rs. 5 to help you reach right here.
I would strongly advocate you to at least give a visit to realize the real pleasure of life, i.e., food. and your taste buds will realize why I called this best place to eat in Dehradun.
