Kidney Beans for Breakfast
Food for calorie conscious people
The stuffed bread with kidney beans is easily made without oil or butter thus could be eaten by people who are calorie conscious ,it is rich in protein too.
- 1.cup kidney beans
- 8 slices of bread
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 green chilly chopped(remove the seed to make it less hot
- 2 to 3 stems of coriander thinly chopped
- salt to taste and black pepper powder
- slight oil if wanted to apply on bread while roasting
Soak the kidney beans for one hour (optional as it softens fast if soaked before cooking ,you can directly boil them in a cooker even without soaking ,it make take little longer if not soaked)
Boil them till soft in the cooker strain the beans and mash them in a bowl or use them as beans itself add the chopped onions ,coriander leaves, green chilly ,salt and black pepper
Mix well and fill the slices, put the slices in pair ,one on top of the other
Put the stuffed slices in the toaster and roast them until brown
Serve them hot with sauce
