Breadmaker Recipes

The invention of the bread maker machine has been so helpful to those of us that don’t have a lot of time to prepare home baked bread. I use a bread machine made by Regal. I’ve experimented with many different recipes for breads, using my bread machine and have come up with some real winners. These are a few of our family favorites.

Basic French Bread

This is a recipe that I use to make classic French bread in my bread making machine. It’s a simple recipe to put together. Unlike most other bread recipes; when making French bread, you want to let the ingredients reach room temperature before starting.This recipe will make about a one and a half pound loaf.

Ingredients;

3 cups finely sifted flour or bread flour

1 tsp.salt

1 tsp. sugar

1 1/2 tsp. active dry yeast

2 tbsp. olive oil

8 ounces water

Directions;

1.Starting with the water and olive put all ingredients ingredients into the breadmaker pan.

2. Select the French setting. Then select crust setting, I like mine medium.

3.Press the start/stop button to start the machine.

4. After it had finished making the bread and the setting reads 0:00, press the start/stop button again to shut it off.

5. You can now remove the bread.

Potato Chive Bread

Ingredients;

3 cups of flour

1/4 cup instant potato flakes

3 tbsp. powdered milk

1 tsp. salt

2 tbsp. sugar

4 tsp. dried chopped chives

1 3/4 tbsp. active dry yeast

2 tbsp. butter or margarine

8 ounces water

Directions;

Just place all ingredients in bread maker's removable pan. Select the Basic setting. Press start/stop to begin. Wait until the machine signals and reads 0:00. Then press start/stop to shut off. Remove your bread and let cool. it’s now ready to enjoy.

Cheezz-ey Herb Explosion Rolls

For this recipe, I use my bread maker to mix and knead the dough and get excellent results every time.

Ingredients;

2 1/2 cups flour

2 tsp. active dry yeast

1 tbsp sugar

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

1/4 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. salt

2 tbsp. minced dry onions

2 tbsp. dry crushed sweet basil

1 tsp. ground thyme

1 tsp crushed rosemary

1 lg, egg

3 tbsp. butter or margarine

4 ounces water

4 ounces milk

(optional)- 2 tsp. melted butter and 2 tsp. Parmesan cheese

Directions;
