Butter Cake Recipe

4 c. sifted cake flour

4 tsp. baking powder

½ tsp. salt

1 1/3 c. margarine

2 c. sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

1 c. diluted milk ( ½ c. milk, ½ c. water)

4 eggs

Procedure:

  1. sift together dry ingredients
  2. cream margarine
  3. add sugar gradually in 4 addition
  4. add egg one at a time beating well after each addition
  5. cream well together until fluffy
  6. add vanilla
  7. add dry ingredients alternately with milk
  8. Pour batter into greased baking pan and bake in moderate oven at 350 F for 45 mins.
