With the summer in full swing and it is so hot outside these day there is nothing better than a cool drink what I call a refresher that cools your body down as soon as you take your first sip if that is the kind of cool drink you’re looking for or that kind of popsicle then I have the perfect recipe for you to have both a Citrus Honey Tea that is really homemade and I know you and your kids will love it.

The good thing about this recipe is you can make it two ways as a refreshing drink and as a tasty Popsicle that your kids will also enjoy.

This recipe makes 1 pitcher of ice tea or 8 popsicles

Citrus Honey Tea

Ingredients

4 cups of water

2 orange flavored tea bags

1/2 cup of orange juice

1/2 orange, peeled with segments halved and seeds removed

1/4 cup of lemon juice

1/2 cup of honey

1/4 teaspoon of salt, if desired

Methods

Bring the water to a boil then add your tea bags and remove from the burner so the tea can start too steep for 5 to 7 minutes discard the tea bags then place in your refrigerator so the tea can cool off.

Using a large blender combine all of the ingredients tour the tea over the mixture the blend well.

Now if you’re making this recipe for ice tea then grab out a large pitcher full of ice and pour the mixture over the ice then serve and enjoy.

Now if you’re making the popsicles pour evenly into an 8 serving Popsicle mold, insert a wood stick in each, and freeze until sold, about 8 hours.
