Compote of apples and pears
- 1 Kg apples
- 1 Kg pears
- 2 lemons
- 600 gr powdered sugar
- 1 cup orange blossom water
- A pinch of cinnamon
Wash one lemon and grate its peel in a casserole. Add 1.5l of water, powder sugar and vanilla. Boil it for 10 minutes until obtaining a syrup. Once the syrup ready, pour the half of it in another casserole.
Peel the apples, cut them into 4 parts and remove the core. Sprinkle apples with 1 lemon juice and put them in one of the 2 casseroles containing syrup. Cook them and check their doneness with the tip of a knife. Once cooked, pour them in a bowl and let cool.
Peel the pears, cut them into 4 parts and remove the core. Sprinkle apples with 1 lemon juice and put them in the 2nd casserole containing syrup, add cinnamon, orange blossom water and cook them.
You can mix it, as you can serve this compote as it is, warm or cold, in individual cups
