Cooking with an Immersion Circulator - SousVide Water Oven - Sous Vide
Let me just say, before this product, I had never really heard of a water oven or the SousVide immersion circulator style of cooking. I saw an episode of Iron Chef that used an immersion circulator, so I decided to look into it.
Immersion circulation cooking seems like such an interesting concept, vacuum-sealing your food and cooking it in a water bath. Needless to say, I was skeptical, but am open to new things when it comes to cooking (I LOVE to cook).
Despite my skepticism, I purchased this Sous Vide supreme water oven. My experience with this immersion circulator could not have been better. The immersion circulator ensures that the water stays at the precise temperature that you wish to cook at (and can be adjusted in single degrees!). The display is perfectly visible and easy to read, and the rack inside keeps your food stable while cooking. Also, the product has handles on the sides for a much easier time draining the oven. Lastly, this Sous Vide water oven looks great. It fits in perfectly on my kitchen counter, and blends in with the other equipment I already owbn. Most importantly, the food itself came out great.
I made a lemon-garlic marinated pork loin in the oven for my first attempt. The pork came out very moist and tasty! Since that the meat is vacuum-packed, the juices and marinades are allowed to soak into the meat and are retained in the bag, keeping any hint of flavor from escaping. All the while, the immersion circulator ensures that the water maintains its temperature consistently and cooks the food evenly on all sides.
This Sous Vide style cooking is something you really just have to try to believe. The experience is great and the food tastes even better! As you can probably tell, I love my water oven and using the SousVide immersion circulation style of cooking. My meals come out perfectly, and each product is cooked evenly throughout, while still staying juicy and bursting with flavor.
Having guests come over and ask about the water oven is great too, as I can introduce them to the Sous Vide cooking style, and give them a tasty example of what the water oven is capable of. Overall, this Sous Vide supreme water oven really blew me away on many levels. The design is great with its sleek look, user-friendly display and racking/handles, and the immersion circulator operating inside. All in all, I would highly recommend this product to anyone who likes to cook, enjoys great tasting food prepared easily, or is just looking to try something new in the world of cooking. Without a doubt, I would give this product my seal of approval and two thumbs up with the hopes that others will give it a shot and enjoy it as much as I do every time I cook.
