Couch's Red Velvet Cake Shot

"Years ago I had a Chocolate Cake Shot at a bar and it was really amazing how the flavors mixed to leave the chocolate taste in my mouth. I'm not a huge fan of chocolate but was impressed none the less. Red Velvet Cake, however, has always been a love of mine. So here's my twist on the original chocolate cake shot. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have." ~Couch

Things you will need -

  • 1 oz Frangelico hazelnut liqueur
  • 3/4 oz Rum Chata - Horchata Con Ron
  • 1/4 oz Grenadine
  • Lemon wedge
  • Sugar

Step one - Pour Frangelico, Rum Chata, and Grenadine into double shot glass and stir slightly.

Step two - Rim shot glass with lemon wedge then coat lemon wedge with sugar.

Step three - Bite into lemon wedge and try to keep juice in mouth while you drink the shot.

It should leave an after-taste very similar to red velvet cake.

Tips - This drink works best if the ingredients are all room temperature.
