In the bottom of your slow cooker place a thin layer of thinly sliced onions. Then place your pork shoulder which should weigh about 4-6 pounds on top of your bed of onions. Now take beef broth and fill the crock pot halfway up the meat and pour two regular size bottles of your favorite store bought barbecue sauce on top of your pork shoulder. Take a spoon and spread the barbecue sauce all over the top of the pork shoulder.

At the end of the cooking time drain off all the liquid and place your pork shoulder out on a tray and remove any skin or excess fat.
