Sweet and Spicy Cranberry Cocktail Meatballs

  • 2 tbsp Chili sauce
  • 1 12 oz. jar Chili sauce
  • 1 10 oz. jar Hot pepper jelly
  • 1 8 oz. can Jellied cranberry sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Baking & Spices

  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar, dark
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Bread & Baked Goods

  • 1 cup Bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. For the Meatballs:
  2. Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground chuck, breadcrumbs, eggs, chili sauce, Worcestershire Sauce, onion and salt. Mix until all ingredients are incorporated but do not overwork the mixture or the meatballs will be tough.
  4. Form into 1½ inch meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet. Leave at least 1-inch space between meatballs.
  5. Cook at 350F for 10 minutes then turn each meatball over. Cook another 10-15 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through. Remove from oven.
  6. *While meatballs are cooking, prepare the sauce.
  7. For the Sauce:
  8. In a large skillet over LOW heat, combine all sauce ingredients. Stir until well blended then remove from heat until the meatballs are ready.
  9. When meatballs are cooked, place them in the sauce in the skillet and simmer for 1-hour or until sauce has thickened.

Cranberry Chili Meatballs

  • 1 can Jellied cranberry sauce

  • 3/4 cup Brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Chili powder

  • 1 package Homestyle meatballs, frozen fully cooked

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the first six ingredients; stir until sugar is dissolved. Add meatballs; cook for 20-25 minutes or until heated through, stirring occasionally.
  2. Editor's Note: To prepare in a slow cooker, heat sauce ingredients as directed. Add sauce and meatballs to a 4-qt. slow cooker. Cook, covered, on low 2-3 hours or until heated through. Yield: about 6 dozen.

  • 1 17-ounce bottle Barbecue sauce, spicy
  • 1 14-ounce can Cranberry sauce, whole

  • 2 14-ounce packages Meatballs, frozen

Instructions

  1. Combine sauces over medium heat in a large deep skillet and cook until bubbly.
  2. Add meatballs in a single layer and stir to coat completely. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook until meatballs are heated through; about 15 minutes for frozen.
  3. Remove cover and continue to cook for several minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce is reduced and completely coating the meatballs.
  4. Serve on their own as an appetizer, or as a main dish over rice.
  5. For slow cooker method, place meatballs in the slow cooker and pour sauces over. Stir ingredients together and cook on low for a few hours or until ready to serve. Stir again just before serving.

Apple Cranberry Turkey Meatballs

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 Orange, Zest of
  • 1 Parsley, fresh
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Simply roundy's fresh sage

  • 1 Egg, large

Canned Goods

  • 1/4 cup Applesauce, unsweetened

Condiments

  • 1 cup Berry cranberry sauce, whole
  • 2 tbsp Simply roundy's pure maple syrup

Baking & Spices

  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 3/4 tsp Kosher salt

Oils & Vinegars

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil, extra virgin

Bread & Baked Goods

  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs, plain

Drinks

  • 1 tbsp Orange juice, freshly squeezed

Directions:

  • Place a rack in the center of your oven and preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Place an ovenproof baking rack on top of a large, rimmed baking sheet, then lightly coat with cooking spray. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the turkey, breadcrumbs, olive oil, egg, apple, sage, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. With your hands or two forks, lightly mix to combine, being careful not to compact the meat.
  • Roll the mixture into 1 1/2 to 2-inch balls, using a small scoop to help portion as desired. Arrange the meatballs on top of the prepared baking rack. Bake in the oven for 12-14 minutes, just until cooked through.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the sauce: In a saucepan large enough to hold the meatballs, combine the cranberries, applesauce, maple syrup, orange zest, and orange juice. Heat over medium to warm through. Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce, then spoon the sauce over gently to coat. Transfer to a serving platter to enjoy immediately or place in a slow cooker set to the lowest heat to keep warm. Garnish with fresh parsley as desired and serve.

  • 1 can Berry cranberry sauce, whole
  • 3/4 cup Ketchup

Baking & Spices

  • 3 tbsp Brown sugar

  • 2 tsp Cider vinegar

Bread & Baked Goods

  • 1/2 cup Bread crumbs, seasoned

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine eggs, soup mix, bread crumbs, cranberries and parsley. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 1-in. balls; place 12 to 14 balls on a microwave-safe plate. Cover with waxed paper; microwave on high for 2-3 minutes or until no longer pink. Remove to paper towels to drain. Repeat with remaining meatballs.
  2. In a 2-qt. microwave-safe dish, combine sauce ingredients. Cover and microwave on high for 3-4 minutes or until heated through, rotating once. Gently stir in meatballs. Cover and cook on high for 1-2 minutes or until heated through. Yield: about 3 dozen.

  • 2/3 cup Barbecue sauce
  • 12 oz Chili sauce
  • 3/4 cup Grape jelly
  • 14 oz Jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups Ketchup
  • 6 Sauce

  • 1 tsp Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix together all meatball ingredients just until combined. Form into 1" meatballs. Bake for 18-20 minutes (or bake frozen meatballs according to package directions).
  3. Combine sauce ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir until preserves/jelly melts. Allow to come to a boil for 1 minute. Toss with meatballs and allow to simmer on low 10-15 minutes.

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except for meatballs in crock pot.
  2. Add meatballs and stir to coat them well. Put in crock pot on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 2-2½ hours.

Sweet and Spicy Cranberry Meatballs (Slow Cooker)

  • 2 tbsp Franks buffalo hot wings sauce
  • 2 lbs Ground beef, lean

  • 2 1/2 tsp Ginger, ground
  • 1/3 cup Onion, dry
  • 3 tsp Powdered garlic

  • 1 14 oz. can Cranberry sauce, whole
  • 1/4 cup Hoisin sauce, quality
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce

Baking & Spices

  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 2 tbsp Red wine vinegar

  • 22 Saltine crackers

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 400F degrees. Place a baking rack on top of a baking sheet. Set aside. (If you don't have a baking rack, line baking sheet with parchment paper.)
  2. In a large bowl, combine all of the meatball ingredients, mix until well combined. Roll meat mixture into desired meatball size**. Place meatballs onto prepared baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  3. Meanwhile, add all of the Sweet and Spicy Cranberry Sauce ingredients starting with just 2 teaspoons hot wings sauce to a bowl and mix to combine. You can add more hot sauce to taste at the end of cooking.
  4. Line the bottom of your slow cooker with meatballs, then a layer of Sweet and Spicy Cranberry Sauce, then the remaining meatballs followed by the remaining. Sauce. Gently stir meatballs an hour after cooking.
  5. Cover and cook on low heat for 2 hours. Taste and stir in additional hot wings sauce (I use a total of 2 tablespoons which is spicy) Keep warm until serving.

Sweet Sriracha Meatballs

  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 1 can Jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1/3 cup Sriracha

Baking & Spices

  • 1/3 cup Brown sugar

  • 2 lbs Meatballs

Instructions

  1. Spray your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or rub a thin layer of olive oil along the bottom and sides (I did the latter, as I don't use cooking spray)
  2. Add meatballs to slow cooker and turn on low
  3. Mix together remaining ingredients and pour over the top.
  4. Heat for 2-3 hours stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve warm.

Sriracha Honey Slow Cooker Meatballs

  • 2 lbs Ground beef, lean

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder

  • 2 Eggs, large

  • 1 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Lime juice, fresh
  • 1 cup Sriracha hot chili sauce

Baking & Spices

  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper, fresh ground

  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs

Dairy

  • 1/4 cup Milk

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine sriracha, honey and lime juice in a slow cooker on high heat.
  2. In a large bowl add remaining ingredients, except eggs. Stir sriracha sauce in slow cooker until combined. Taste and add additional honey or sriracha as necessary to suit your heat preference. Add 1/4 cup of sauce into meatball mixture, fold mixture together 2 times, then add eggs.
  3. Mix well, do not over mix or you will have tough meatballs. Place a sheet of wax paper (approximately 9"x9") on your countertop. Using a 2 tablespoon scoop, portion out meat and place on wax paper. After all meatballs have been scooped, roll into balls and place them into the slow cooker. Once about half of the meatballs are in the slow cooker, spoon sauce over the tops of them. Continue adding meatballs until they are all in the slow cooker. You may have to layer them, just be sure the bottom layer is thoroughly coated in sauce before you add the next layer.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover slow cooker and cook for 4-8 hours. Serve and enjoy.

Quick Cranberry Glazed Meatballs

  • 1 (12 oz.) bottle Chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 (28 oz.) package Farm rich meatballs

Instructions

  1. Place the meatballs in a large, microwave safe baking dish. Add 1/4 cup water to the dish and cover with a paper towel. Microwave on high power for 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large sauce pan or skillet, combine the cranberry sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to simmer.
  3. Remove the meatballs from the microwave and add them to the sauce, stirring to coat evenly. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving, if desired. Serve alone, as an appetizer, or over rice for a quick and easy meal.
