Easy Crowd Pleasing Dessert--Gold Rush Bars

These cookies are always a hit when brought to a pot luck or party. They're quick and easy to make too.

1/4 cup butter, melted
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or almonds work best)
1 can (15 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

Pour melted butter evenly in a 13-by-9-inch pan. Add the graham cracker crumbs to the pan and mix together with the butter. Press evenly so the graham crackers are packed together. Sprinkle with the coconut, chocolate chips and nuts. Drizzil the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the entire pan. Gently press the entire pan to make sure everything is set. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees F. Let the pan cool then cut into even bars or diamond shapes.

I haven't tried these yet, but they look delicious. I am a sucker for coconut. I'm sure with the sweet and condensed milk that they are moist and chewy too -- without just chewy and sticky like so many recipes that use corn syrup.
