My Simple Homeade Guacamole Recipe
Guacamole has got to be one of my favorite foods. I love avocado’s but blended into a nice thick guacamole is just the best.
There are many good recipes available on the Web, but here is the one I follow for my homemade guacamole recipe.
I never actually measure anything, but to help with recipe, I’ll give some specifics on how to make this delicious guacamole.
- 6 ripe avocados
- Juice of a lemon wedge
- One small tomato
- 1/3- 1/2 of an onion depending on how much you like onion
- A pinch of sea salt
- Fiesta Crunch Restaurant Style White Corn Tortilla Chips
- If you like your guacamole a little spicier, dice up a couple of jalapenos from a jar and pour in just a splash of the juice with the jalapenos.
Peel the avocados and remove the pits. Place the avocados into a bowl and mash them together with a fork for about a minute or less. Add the juice from the lemon, add the diced tomato, and diced onion. Finally, add a pinch of salt. If you like your foods a little spicy, add the diced jalapenos and a little juice from the jar. Mix the ingredients together until you have removed the large chunks of avocado and you have an even consistency of the tomato and onion spread through the guacamole.
I always test my guacamole with a chip to make sure it’s ready to serve. From time to time a little more salt is needed as it helps to bring all of the flavors together.
