Easy Recipes For Fruit Salsa!

Turn traditional salsa on its head and try some of these spicy-sweet fruit-based salsa recipes at you next barbecue!

Nothing is more refreshing on a hot summer day than a cool combination of sweet fresh fruit and spicy hot peppers.

Technically, tomatoes are a fruit, so fruit-based salsa is not really that revolutionary. But many of us who love fresh fruit might not think to combine other sweet fruits with the spicy heat of chili peppers and garlic! Following are some recipe ideas for some great flavor combinations to spice up your next summer meal.

Each recipe below uses some form of hot chili pepper, and of course you substitute your favorite pepper for the one listed. Use as much or as little as you like, but don’t leave the peppers out entirely! Then all you'd have is fruit salad…

Six Amazing Fruit Salsa Recipes

The instructions for each recipe are the same:

  • Combine all the ingredients and mix them together thoroughly
  • Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to let the flavors mingle
  • Give the salsa another good stir before serving.

All of these salsas can be served with tortilla chips, or as a topping for your favorite meats! The Mango Salsa, Peach Salsa and Pear Salsa are great with pork or fish; try the Avocado Salsa or Cucumber Salsa alongside a nice steak; and the Watermelon Salsa make a great partner for spicy Cajun or Jerk chicken
