"Faye's Multi Layer Vegetable And Fruit Salad"

Ingredients:

I head iceberg lettuce- Washed and torn into small pieces.

2 cups diced ham or turkey ham

2 cups sweet peas drain, sprinkled with 1 tsp. sugar and drained or frozen , I prefer canned.

1 1/2 cup raisins

2 cups chopped green onions

2 cups diced bell peppers - colored ones

6 boiled eggs- diced

2 cups black olives sliced

2 cups drained pineapple tidbits drained

1- 32 oz jar salad dressing

2 cups cheddar cheese

1 cup Imitation bacon bits

1 Tbs. dry parsley flakes.

Directions to prepare: This special salad will feed many people, make sure you use a large clear salad bowl or a punch bowl; so the alternative colors of the salad with show through.

In your large salad bowl, line the bottom and sides with the torn pieces of lettuce.  Then you add your diced ham all over the center making sure to cover the lettuce. Then add your peas after you have drained them of any left over juice. Make sure the the ham is cover with the sweet peas.   Then add the raisins on top of sweet peas, covering them.Your next layer will be green onions topping the raisins. Add the diced tomatoes to the green onions, then the diced bell peppers for the next layer.

On top of the bell peppers add the pineapple tidbits for the next layer, then follow with the black olives.  Take the whole jar of salad dressing and pour out the whole jar on top of all the layers and make sure you spread and cover the whole top of the salad until all the salad dressing is used.  Once that's done take your cheese and sprinkle and cover the whole top of the salad until all the cheese is used. Take the bacon  bits and generously sprinkle the whole container over the cheese and finish up with the dry parsley flake. This make a beautiful and delicious salad. Make sure, when you serve it ,us a large spoon and dig down through all the layers, so you can get some of all the layer of salad. You eat his salad with crackers or by itself. It's a great treat and you everything in one meal. I hope you enjoy it.
