GREEN SAUCE OF CILANTRO AND DILL, by Home-Reared Chef!

This is a rich, creamy condiment that can be used on a wide variety of foods: in a sandwich, on poached or grilled salmon, a topping for baked potato, and even as a salad dressing. So, use your imagination and enjoy!

Come and take a comfortable seat at our cozy table. Dinner is served!

Steps 1:

1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice (roughly 2 lemons)

1/2 cup [measured] coarsely chopped fresh dill

2 serrano chiles, seeded, coarsely chopped

1 bunch green onion/scallions (white and green), cleaned, coarsely chopped

1 bunch fresh cilantro (trim and discard the bottoms, about 2-inches)

1/4 cup capers, drained

1/2 teaspoon kosher or sea salt

2 tablespoons Kona Coast Hawaiian style honey mustard

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

1-1/3 cup good mayonnaise

In the bowl of a food processor, or Cuisinart, fitted with a steel blade, place all the ingredients (save the last 3 ingredients: mustard, olive oil and mayonnaise) and process until smooth. Add the last 3 ingredients and process until well blended and smooth. Adjust seasoning to personal taste. Transfer to a glass bowl and cover tightly with plastic wrap; set aside to chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour (longer time is better) for flavors to meld.

Cook with heart; eat with gusto. Buen Provecho!

Hi Prasetio, this was very delicious, indeed! And I can't stress how easy it was to put together, too. Thank you for coming by, Sir, it was a very welcomed surprise. :)

Thank you, Howard, you are most kind and generous with your comments. And it was a very easy sauce to put together; so easy that you could and should add it to your favorite meat sandwich.

The pictures are very enticing.

This looks like an easy way to make a sauce with all the freshness of herbs built in.

I could see this on a sandwich.

Now I am hungry!

This does look tasty! I would definitely use this to slather over some, or even in a sandwich. I can just imagine using it on a bagel or croissant filled with other veggies and meats. Mmmmmm.....

Hello Reverend Lady, as always, you inspire me to new heights!

I have actually thought about doing a cookbook, I am just not sure where to send it, or if anyone would actually be interested in it. My recipes are more down-home cooking. Obviously, I am not an "Iron Chef!" Lol! I have put my request in to the Lord, and now I wait for Him to lead me. :)

Thank you for your lovely encouraging words, RevLady, you've put a big smile on my face this morning. Thank you!

Love and GIANT hugs back at you,

I am always enthralled with the pictures which show precisely what ingredients are being used. Your recipes' are always written with meticulous care. Are you doing a cookbook or eBook by any chance?

Love and hugs,

Forever His,
