Garlic Salad Dressing
How to make the most delicious salad dressing ever!
Lets face it salads can be well.... boring. Yet they are a necessary evil due to the fibre and the vitamins and minerals that they contain. What is a health conscious individual to do? Add some deliciously easy salad dressing. You can make yourself feel better by knowing that olive oil is one of the healthiest oils around as it contains no saturated fats. Garlic contains antimicrobial agents and well who doesn't love mustard. So join the ranks of the sometimes health conscious and make some salad dressing tonight!
- good olive oil
- seeded mustard
- white vinegar
- Place a clove of garlic in a mortar and pestle add about 1/4 of a teaspoon of salt.Mash up the clove of garlic with the salt until it a smooth paste.
- Add three table spoons of olive oil
- Add one table spoon of vinegar
- Add half a teaspoon of mustard
- Add pepper to taste
- Serve with salad
This salad dressing will go well with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, spring onions, carrots, fetta cheese, avocardo.
I am also going to experiment with garlic paste idea and olive oil as a rub for bbq'ed chicken. I think that with the addition of lemon juice it will be divine. I will keep you posted:)
